We provide instrumental lessons in guitar, ukulele, drums,
piano and keyboard in over 250 Infant, Primary/Junior and Secondary schools. Lessons are normally available for students from Year 3 (aged 6/7) upwards either in groups or on a one to one basis.
We aim to provide well balanced and enjoyable courses
that develop skills across a range of playing styles on each
instrument. All genres and disciplines, including classical,
are catered for.
We have our own fully accredited syllabus that enables
students not only to learn skills in a specific instrument but
also in music theory and performance skills. All students
have an opportunity to take an exam in their chosen
instruments with Trinity Rock & Pop, ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and Rockschool.
Our comprehensive syllabus for a range of instruments has also been adapted for whole class teaching PPA packages. Whilst your teachers are out of class taking care of essential planning, preparation and assessment, their students will be fully engaged with an interactive and quality music provision.
We focus on the key areas of pitch, tempo, rhythm and dynamics in addition to reading music notation. Students are equipped with all the skills for a great performance, a lasting understanding of musical knowledge and playing as part of an ensemble. We include music from a variety of genres, including current chart favourites, offering a rich perspective of music history, whilst ensuring relevance for the younger generation.
Live performance showcases provide the children with the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learnt throughout the year to an audience of teachers, parents and students. Our tutors will work with the individual school with regard to reporting and progress. We currently run courses with guitars, ukuleles, voice, glockenspiels and drums however we will always tailor our PPA cover to meet the requirements of the school.
Staff Team Building
Through the simple process of teaching complete beginners how to play together as a band, we have found that teams of staff have emerged with better communication skills, a greater understanding of each other and improved motivation as a team.
Our "Battle of the Brands" events are extremely versatile and can be tailored for any number of participants. We will custom build an event to meet the ethos and dynamics of your school.
"Steve and his team put on a very successful event for us and our cluster schools. Extremely enjoyable and a great ice breaker. For my own staff, it certainly generated an excitement and sense of fun that I discussed as something to hold onto during the coming year! "
