Head Office

 

Our Head Office support and management ensure the smooth running of the Foundation and take care of the following: teacher training, DBS checks, child protection training, funded school assemblies, timetable administration, parent queries, parent invoicing/collection and tutor monitoring. We also coordinate all examination entries with ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and Rockschool (RSL) and are proud to boast a 98% pass rate over 20 years.

Kristen Biel  -Vocals 

Kristen has a masters degree in Music Pyschology and has a huge industry back background in the music industry. Born in the USA  she taught musical theatre classes at a prestigious Broadway dance prep school in New York  before residing here in the UK with her husband and family. In London she was was responsible for casting and maintaining a portfolio of voice artists and from the Soho studios  creating music and commercials for British airways, Sky Virgin Atlantic amongst others. She now heads up vocals here at the Rock and Pop Foundation and a very personable vocal coach from a very musical family.

Stefan Melzak  - Multi Instrumentalist 

Stefan has a wealth of teaching experience and splits his time between London as a professional musician and composer and the quieter  life of Norfolk where he resides and teaches for the Rock and Pop Foundation. He tutors up to grade 8 on both ABRSM and trinity exam boards. and taught both classical and jazz syllabi and music theory in both primary and secondary schools His strength  is to consistently create invigorating and engaging lesson plans, provide optimal instruction and academic support to students. As a music professional he composes film scores and tv commercials for brands such as HSBC bank and other high street brands.

Michael Fitzgerald  - Multi Instrumentalist  

 

Michael splits his time between Swanmore College and the Rock and Pop Foundation. As talented multi instrumentalist he teaches technical theatre and recording studio classes to include lighting and sound. As well as putting young bands together he assists in preparing students for GCSE group performance as well as creating backing tracks and sound effects for musicals. Michael is a very technical minded musician that is well liked by all of his students bring a fresh face to music education.

Henry Gottelier- - Multi Instrumentalist 

Henry enrolled at The British and Irish Modern Music Institute where he graduated in 2016 with a BA Hons Degree in Professional Musicianship.

Henry is a busy Freelance musician and has gained notable experience playing some of the UKs most prestigious music venues whilst on tour. Currently, Henry is the main songwriter and frontman in the upcoming originals Alternative Rock trio ‘Saltlake’, as well as fronting the Classic Rock tribute act ‘Groove Hoover’. Henry has also had the privilege of recording with some of the UKs most recognised producers and at some of the top recording studios in the country.

Josh Breslaw - Multi instrumentalist

 Josh has worked in the music industry for over 13 years, originally as a musician and over the past 6 years on the business side in band management and project development. He is the  founder member of the band Oi Va Voi and manages  his own  artist management company, DRUM MGMT. He co-founded the music education company Myband and now works  along side the Rock and Pop Foundation works in a freelance capacity on music and media projects.

 

Chris Smith - Multi Instrumentalist 

Chris has been with the Rock and Pop Foundation for over 10 years. Originally trained as a classical guitarist and is  a masterful technical musician. He spends his performing time as lead guitarist for a band called the Frets and is  also married to a very accomplished pianist. 

His skill sets developed produces as a very versatile all round  multi instrumental  tutor liked by all his students.

Jim Herbert - Multi Instrumentalist 

Jim has  played guitar and keyboard for Warner/ Polydor artist Lozeakin in large large scale venues and performed at events organised by the Liverpool Sound City, Latitude Festival and Spotify. He has also performed for various other artists, such as renowned German violinist Iskandar Widjaja on piano -emerging pop sensation Serel and have played electric guitar in many indie and function bands in Italy. He is a well liked tutor and students enjoy his calm approach to music lessons here at the Foundation.

Greg Torres- Guitar

Eva Lathwell- Piano Keyboard 

Eva Originally trained in Czechia 🇨🇿 and converted her Piano skills and qualifications to ABRSM and Trinity College London.

A well liked approachable tutor , a lot of children enjoy her style of teaching and delighted to have her skill set alongside us here at the

Rock and Pop Foundation.

Sean Wilkinson- Multi Instrumentalist 

Sean is our most experienced tutors and been with the foundation since its inception. A great wealth of knowledge his concerts are always outstanding and parents rave about them. He loves to give his all and still performs live with his band called KFC "Knowledge for Chickens" as the lead singer and guitarist. He also has tendencies to play a little flamenco guitar on the side and a great all round multi instrumentalist tutor ready to serve your children.

Rachel Chan  - Piano Teacher  

 

Rachel holds related Music and Teaching Qualifications- China Preschool Teacher Certificate, Children Psychology and Guidance (2013)- Grade 8 Piano, The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (1999) as well as  Grade 6 Percussion. In her spare time she is a Columnist & Art Consultant, Vox Amica Press 良友之聲2017  and a Translator and Editor, of various articles and children’s books.  Being a mum of young kids she has great patience and is very liked by her students 

Matt White - Drum Tutor 

Matt is a true industry professional drummer having play for Sophie Ellis- Bextor. With two decades of performance and touring we are delighted that Matt still dedicates his time for the Rock and Pop Foundation and has done so for some 15 years. 

Matt is also does world tours with Ott and the Seing I.
